10/12-13/07

Here's Friday night (Kit already knows some of this since there were numerous phone updates). First, we started off at Megan's place getting our drink on, and it was on pretty hard by the time we got to the bus stop. Mat and Nik posed for the camera while we waited (although I don't really know what they were trying to achieve in the first shot).

We ended up getting a cab instead - and then picked up Megan's cousin and his friends downtown and then went to Rock Bottom, and drank a lot more. Then, waiting for the bus again, a limo appeared, and suddenly we were all riding in it. Here's a shot of everyone (except me and Nik and Mat because we were in the back and I was taking the photo)

Finally, here we have Megan and Di. After this, we got dropped off outside of the CC Club (classy) and had some more drinks (I'm pretty sure I had a Jag Bomb) and then when we tried to go to the Bulldog, the bouncer said Megan was too drunk to go in, so I went home and everyone else went to Megan's, and that is where the story ends.

Here are the pics from the trip Carissa and I took to Fond Du Lac. First, we have the famous Fond Du Lac lighthouse. Cody took us on a tour of his hometown and showed us all the places where he did his "pranks" as a child. One of them involved piano wire and was a little disturbing. Next, we have a shot of Katie. Scroll down to read all about her.

So this is Katie, and Cody tried to warn us about her, but nothing could really have prepared us. Some fun facts: She doesn't actually sing karaoke, she yells for a while and then does stand up (mostly consisting of jokes about how she's fat and likes bacon). Also, she's pretty uptight about religion for being Ba'hai (I found this out while we were sitting in Cody's car smoking, and she started screaming at me). There's more about her, but we'll leave it at that. And really, the picture doesn't do her justice.

This is a shot of the karaoke bar we went to downtown, the Star Bar. The singing was fun, and there were only about four other people there (in their 40s to 50s). Actually, it was kind of the saddest bar ever. Cody and I got to do Total Eclipse, so it was all good. (Also, a middle-aged man told me I sing good).
